What to wear to class

Dancers are not permitted to wear jewelry or chew gum or candy for their safety during class. Dancers

should change into their dance shoes in the lobby, no street shoes allowed in the dance rooms.

Ballet and Pointe Classes:

Dancers should wear any solid color leotard and tights. Hair in a bun with all loose hair securely pulled back. Leather or canvas ballet shoes are permitted. For our little dancers skirts are permitted and leotards with print on them. Pointe dancers will need to be properly fitted for

Pointe shoes.

Lyrical/Modern:

Dancers will need to wear a leotard and tights. Teacher will give direction on over garments that will be permitted. Convertible tights are best. Hair pulled up and out of the face.

Tap and Jazz classes:

Dancers should wear a leotard and tights, skirt and or booty shorts are permitted. Proper tap or jazz shoes should be worn. Hair should be pulled up in a ponytail and loose hair securely pulled back.

Floor Gymnastics:

Participants should wear a leotard and no tights, bare feet are best. Hair must be pulled back in a ponytail.

Funky Jazz/Hip Hop/Boy’s classes:

Dancers should wear comfortable clothing. Clothing should not be too baggy and shirts should not show your stomach. Hair will need to be pulled back. Clean non skid marking tennis shoes are permitted.

Baby Let’s Dance:

Little ones can wear any dance style leotard, with or without a skirt. Tights should be worn and hair should be worn in a bun. Canvas or leather ballet shoes should be worn.

Cheer/Pom classes:

Cheerleaders should wear comfortable clothes that they can move in freely while doing jumps, kicks and splits. Clean tennis shoes and hair in a ponytail should also be worn. No Jewelry. Shirts tucked in.

Competitive Classes:

These classes are available for dancers who are ready to dance at the next level. If you are interested please speak with Hannah or Amanda about joining the award winning Rosette program!

For your convenience, Le Rose carries tights and can size and order your dancer proper dance shoes.
